2006 Melanto Terrace Sauvignon Blanc

North Coast Appellation: This is an extremely fruit forward, user-friendly wine. It has a brilliant pale straw color. The delicate fruit aromas and flavors in this wine were captured during an extended, cold stainless steel fermentation. This handcrafted wine separates itself stylistically from all other Sauvignon Blanc wines currently on the market. It combines a mineral quality with intense tropical and spicy aromas and flavors. Spiciness is another descriptor for the classic herbaceous/cut-grass/gooseberry style made popular by New Zealand wineries.
